I spoke to a reporter the other week about Amir Hekmati, a Marine who has been held by the Iranian government for nearly 1000 days. She was from PJMedia.com , which is a conservative website, but this was for the premier issue of a new feature they would be running regularly called the Yellow Ribbon Project, about captives abroad.

Bridget Johnson wrote an exhaustive piece, covering the whole saga of Amir’s captivity. But she started and finished with quotes from our discussion. I am uncomfortable about making anything about me, particularly this, but if ten more people know about this poor guy’s situation because of something I did, then it was worth it.

Here’s a link to the article.

I’m actually helping Amir’s family with an event in DC coming up on May 19th. If you live anywhere near here, and can get in on May 19th, I’d sure love it if you set aside that day or evening to come down. I assure you it will be worth your time.
